The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO is the Swiss federal government’s center of excellence for all core issues relating to economic and labor market policy.

SECO invited Ateleris to consult a team in their preparation and setup of a new project, focusing on machine learning. Ateleris was involved in three main areas, as described below.

Firstly, Ateleris supported the project team in reaching out to internal target groups, establishing a dialogue with them on machine learning, and collecting requirements from those internal stakeholders to help manage expectations and align upstream processes.

Secondly, Ateleris worked with the project team on preparing two Proof of Concepts (PoC) in the domain of text mining and information extraction. For both PoC, Ateleris provided documentation with recommendations on the design of the overall process, on preparing test and verification data sets of structured and unstructured text data, and on creating benchmarks for third parties.

Lastly, Ateleris participated in technical reviews to provide the project team with feedback and recommendations.
