Minergie Schweiz has been a quality label for buildings in the planning phase for 20 years. Thanks to the many certification labels, the Minergie standard guarantees high-quality buildings in terms of energy efficiency, comfort, and value retention.

To continue providing excellent value-added services to its clients, Minergie Schweiz is introducing a new monitoring service. With this new monitoring service, Minergie will provide building owners with regular feedback on their buildings’ energy efficiency.

Ateleris develops and operates the monitoring platform built with Java and Spring Boot. The data platform gathers measurements from certified energy data collection systems via a REST interface and stores all data centrally. Then it analyzes and visualizes the collected data and reports on the compliance with the Minergie Schweiz performance figures.

The monitoring platform runs on a Kubernetes cluster in the Microsoft Azure Cloud in Switzerland to ensure high service availability and guarantees that all data remain in Switzerland. To further increase the reliability of the monitoring platform, Microsoft Azure’s
Application Insights continuously monitors all services and resources.

Because of the project’s interdisciplinary nature, with many different stakeholders involved, Ateleris supported Minergie Schweiz in the analysis of all relevant processes and the collection and organization of the data platform requirements. Moreover, Ateleris led the interface definition and engineering effort to guarantee the new data platform’s optimal compatibility with existing Minergie Schweiz IT platforms and the external energy data providers.
